To Our Friends In Blues/Roots Music
For better than thirty years I have found pleasure in listening
to over 100 years of Blues music as performed by the world's
greatest Blues/Jazz/Folk and Roots musicians. In the past five years I have enjoyed
a
tremendous exchange with the hundreds of Blues
musicians and fellow Blues music fans I can now call my friends from
all over the world as a result of publishing online my publication,
Cross Harp Chronicles.
Wishing to give back to the community of which I would like to
consider myself part, I have created the web's first press release
distribution site exclusively for Blues/ Roots musicians.
Because I believe firmly in the effectiveness of press releases in
furthering this music-- I have used press releases almost exclusively in
launching the books, magazines and businesses, I have started,
and have worked with the media for over thirty five years-- I
would like to invite everyone and anyone who may need help in "getting
the word out" about anything you may be doing in this music to submit
your press releases to this first such site for this music.

David King has been
involved with music since a child. As a youngster, his grandmother, a
second generation German/American immigrant, wishing to instill in him a
background in the humanities, insisted that he study music.
Demonstrating an aptitude and early talent for the piano, he
studied classical piano at the Interlochen Center For The Arts, Interlochen,
Michigan, where he studied piano performance and acquired a
fundamental background in composition and musical theory. While in high
school, he played sax and drums with his high school jazz band. He
minored in music appreciation while getting his journalism/media degree
in college, throughout which time he supported himself as a
musician. He has been involved in radio
broadcasting/publishing/promotions for over thirty five years.
While in high school, he was introduced to the Blues.
Although he lived at the time east of Detroit, he and a friend who
introduced him to the Blues would travel to Chicago, where they would
visit Blues clubs on Chicago's south side. He has worked in different capacities as
Detroit's underground radio stations worked to establish themselves.
In the military, he worked to convince his superiors to allow him
time to launch a regular time slot devoted to the Blues. Since then he
has worked to promote an interest in Blues and Roots music. Most
recently he worked to establish an internet radio station and has
published the online publication Cross Harp Chronicles. COM

Here's the real brains
behind all that we have created on the web--my partner and beloved wife,
Jody King. Although we don't always agree on the direction we may
take things, nor our approach to getting there, she is always
right. 
She has been an entrepreneur since her early twenties. Since
1993, working with leaders in business and industry, she has
created websites for many of our area's movers and shakers. She is
an IT professional with multiple certifications in different
computer disciplines and over fifteen years of experience in computer
technology.
In earnest, endeavoring to keep this music alive for
generations to come,
