Guidelines:
Is your submission a properly prepared press release?
We do not consider submissions that are obvious advertisements,
Have you filled out all required fields? These are designated with
an asterisk. We only process complete
forms, incomplete forms will not be processed
Is your
headline, or the text of your release in all capitals?
These
are hard to read and too much work for us to make
them readable for our database users. As such we will not process
these.
Have you
checked for typos, grammar, and punctuation?
Have you
checked format, readability and guidelines?
Are you authorized to send
out this press release and have you verified for factual
accuracy? Once submitted, we cannot be held responsible if you
forgot information like important dates, addresses, times, etc.
Have you allowed for adequate lead time?
Most of the media contacts to whom we will submit your press
release require that we give them a minimum of ten days. Even
with the internet, this is still an industry standard. For many of
the paper publications, they may require two to three months.
Although it is great to think you are working, the day to remind us
of your upcoming gig is not the day before the gig.
